On October 2nd, the legal representative of the consortium – named SIAP-SANAMBIENTE – signed the contract for the construction of a major project in Colombia for the “Adaptation Fund “:
”ACQUISITION, INSTALLATION, CONFIGURATION AND COMMISSIONING OF HYDROMETEOROLOGICAL STATIONS AND RELATED GOODS NEEDED FOR TRANSMISSION, INFORMATION DISPLAYING, ADMISTRATION, REMOTE MANAGEMENT AND THE PROPER INTEGRATION IN THE WARNING SYSTEM, AS PART OF THE AGREEMENT 004 DATED BACK IN 2012, SIGNED BY IDEAM WHOSE PURPOSE IS “ACQUISITION, INSTALLATION AND COMMISSIONING OF EQUIPMENT, AND MANAGEMENT OF BOTH SERVICES AND TECHNOLOGICAL TOOLS REQUESTED FOR STRENGTHENING THE WARNING NETWORK DERIVING FROM HYDROMETEOROLOGICAL ORIGIN, AS WELL AS A SUPPORT TO THE NATIONAL SYSTEM FOR DISASTER PREVENTION AND WARNING IN COLOMBIA”.
It is such a huge project which includes both the upgrading of already existing stations and the new one supplied. The stations involved in the project are a total amount of 457, all of them equipped with new DA15K SIAP + MICROS’ data logger. The primary transmission system chosen by the contracting authority is the INMARSAT satellite paired, where available, with GSM / GPRS communication through a phone module integrated into the data logger. SIAP + MICROS, as part of the consortium, will be responsible for providing the whole supply of acquisition, communications and measurement equipments. In the supply, also some other new SIAP+MICROS’ products such as Winson, the sonic anemometer , the radar level sensor and the rain gauge with 200 cm2 funnel area. The whole SIAP + MICROS’ team accepts this new challenge with great pleasure and we are all sure it will confirm the value of both the group and the products we manufacture.
