Rain gauge Transducer, 500cm² funnel area

Measure principle: The sensor is composed by a know collecting area and a tipping bucket connected to a permanent magnet that generates at each commutation an output closing electrical contact. When a bucked is full, the weight of the water operates the tilting, causing the former to be empty and putting the latter in the collecting position, ready to continue the measuring cycle.

Intelligent sensor (not for version TP500-N): The sensor belongs to the intelligent sensor family as based on a micro-processor chip that execute among other functions: the correct control functioning, data pre-processing, electrical signal A/D conversion etc. This characteristics warranty excellent accuracy, long-term stability and high data reliability.

Laboratory calibration: The sensor can be supplied with a SIAP+MICROS calibration certificate or with calibration certificates issues by  external primary metrological services (SIT, Colonetti, ecc).

Housing materials and International standards: The sensor body is made of anodized aluminum corrosion-proofing with stainless steel screws. The transducer complies with CE EMC standards, it’s protected against over tensions and is fully compliant within the WMO (World Meteorological Organization) standards.
