SIAP+MICROS takes the court at the 2026 Internazionali BNL d’Italia
On the occasion of the 2026 Internazionali BNL d’Italia, scheduled in Rome from May 4 to 17, SIAP+MICROS supports meteorological monitoring activities with a station deployed at the Foro Italico.
Designed to operate in high-sensitivity contexts such as major sporting events, the system was commissioned by Agenzia ItaliaMeteo. The installed instruments continuously provide high-precision data on wind speed and direction, air temperature and humidity.

The station at Foro Italico enables microscale measurements, delivering meteorological data with high spatial and temporal resolution. Detecting even minimal variations is essential for optimal event management, for the outcome of individual tennis matches, and for the safety of staff and spectators. Built with professional-grade instrumentation such as the WINSON ultrasonic anemometer and the SMarT CELLino professional solar radiation shield, the solution also stands out for its design. Highly compact, quick to deploy, and easy to transport, it is ideally suited to temporary applications and scenarios requiring a high degree of operational flexibility, with the possibility of redeployment in different contexts.
Within this framework, the reference to the operational role of Agenzia ItaliaMeteo — the national meteorological service operating in accordance with the standards of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) — confirms the quality of both the instrumentation and the operational approach adopted by SIAP+MICROS.
The company thus renews a commitment that has lasted for over a century: putting precision to work for meteorology, even in complex scenarios.
