Siap+Micros celebrates 100 years of innovation in environmental monitoring
On Friday, April 11, the corporate event celebrating the 100th anniversary of SIAP+MICROS took place at the Arsenale di Venezia della Marina Militare. The well-known journalist Toni Capuozzo opened the evening by introducing guests to the scientific publication that traces the first hundred years of this historic reality of Italian industry. The work, of research and writing edited by Gianluca Marino, initially conceived as an illustrated corporate volume, took a totally unexpected direction thanks to the discovery of unpublished materials of great historical value, transforming into a real journey through time (ANSA link).
During the talk conducted by Toni Capuozzo, it emerged that the author of the book consulted numerous national and international archives, collecting direct testimonies from former employees, managers and historical customers, returning a lively and passionate narrative. The history of the company is in fact intertwined with the main events of the Italian twentieth century: from the post-war period to reconstruction, from the Second World War to the economic boom. To witness this event, an institutional video was presented that ideally retraces these one hundred years of meteorology history and which will soon be published on the company website.
During the evening, Al Bano entertained the guests with an unprecedented singing performance involving those present in the choice of songs. He gave extraordinary revisited interpretations of some of his greatest hits accompanied by emotional interpretations that ranged from Nabucco to Modugno, from Celentano to Dalla. A performance that lasted longer than expected due to the involvement with the guests and the incredible atmosphere offered by the suggestive Sala degli Squadratori della Marina Militare set up for the occasion.
An evening made unforgettable by the extraordinary involvement of over 300 guests. Friends, Customers and Employees. Thanks to the contribution of each of them, and of others who could not participate but were present with their affection, it was possible to reach this important stage of a century-old history, the History of Meteorology in Italy.
